The Brave web browser will pay for the displayed ads

Brave is a free and open-source pay-to-surf web browser based on the Chromium web browser and its Blink engine, announced by the co-founder of the Mozilla project and creator of JavaScript, Brendan Eich.

Brave, an Internet browser from the creator of Javascript and co-founder of Mozilla, Brendan Eich, is taking an important step towards using blockchain technology to solve a problem that many people consider to be one of the main problems of the Internet: advertising. After full deployment, users will receive 70% of gross ad revenue, which will be paid out via a Ethereum-based Basic Token (BAT) and automatically converted to local currency via Uphold. BAT was initially distributed by (ICO), and users were previously able to use it to directly provide verified publishers for the production of quality content.

Initial tests will cover only 250 reported advertisements, although the list, as well as the number of users participating in the survey, will increase as the pilot program progresses. It is not clear when the reward program will be combined with a standard Brave browser and made available to all users.

Future testers should be aware that unlike a regular Brave browser, the test platform tracks browsing activity and sends logs to Brave so that the company can verify the effectiveness of the machine learning algorithms that deliver the ads. Users can volunteer for initiative on the official Brave forums. (tu link do tego forum
